I must preface this article by acknowledging that I’m not an astrophysicist or an astronomer. I’m simply a spiritual salmon with a curiosity that must be scratched.
I’ve used that curiosity as fuel and tried my best to understand this solar eclipse.
First off, let’s define a solar eclipse.
It is when the Sun, Moon, and Earth align in specific ways, causing temporary darkening or obscuring of one celestial body by another. (Splendid imagery from timeanddate.com)
Believe it or not, we are in eclipse season. Just two weeks ago we had a lunar eclipse. Energetically this has a lot to do with fate/destiny. (If that’s something you believe in)
This is a Solar Eclipse in Aries which symbolizes passion, independence, and confidence.
So how does this apply to you?
Well… a great question. Let’s step away from your woo-woo ways of thinking that “astrological signs aren’t for me” and let’s talk about science.
The law of conservation says energy is neither created nor destroyed.
You are made up of energy so therefore when there is a shift in the solar system you are affected. (whether you realize it or not) It depends on how deep you want to go! And how sensitive you are to the energies around you. Fair warning… you can go deep.
This phenomenon of day darkness is calling us to tap into what we really want.
Now I’m a believer that in order to know what you want, you have to shine a light as to what is holding you back. Well, you’re in luck my friend, because this eclipse has the power to illuminate roadblocks and “stuck” energy that might be dwelling inside you.
Let’s zoom in a little bit more on the spiritual components of this eclipse and how you can work with it:
Alignment of cosmic energies: The solar eclipse on April 8 signifies a powerful alignment of celestial bodies, which is believed to amplify spiritual energies and vibrations.
Transformation and renewal: Many spiritual traditions view eclipses as potent times for personal transformation and renewal, offering opportunities for growth and shedding old patterns! This one is BIG
Intensified intentions: Eclipses are seen as auspicious moments to set intentions and manifestations, as the heightened energy during this time may support the manifestation of desires and goals.
Inner reflection: The darkness that temporarily envelops the Sun during a solar eclipse symbolizes a metaphorical veil being lifted, inviting individuals to engage in deep introspection and self-reflection.
Collective consciousness: Eclipses are also considered significant for collective consciousness, serving as catalysts for societal shifts, awakening, and unity.
This is the last total solar eclipse to cross the United States until 2044. Take advantage of it!
My suggestion to you is to wear glasses, watch it, and spend an hour journaling about what you want in YOUR life.
Tune in, let go. Watch what happens.
