12 to 1
Why I'm building a YouTube channel in 2026 (and why you should be part of it)
When I sat down to write this morning, I noticed something—joy rushing through my fingertips.
Not because I lost or gained 12 pounds or made $50,000. (Though $50k would be incredible right now. I’d launch my smoothie business immediately.)
The joy comes from a new version of me being born.
The final weeks of the Snake year feel uncomfortable. Undeniably long.
But the Fire Horse is on the horizon, and for me that represents power and action.
12-1.
If you tuned into last week’s newsletter, I shared twelve ambitious goals I set for 2025. Made a video reflecting on all of them.
I hit one.
As I’ve gained clarity for 2026, I’ve decided to stop setting multiple lofty goals.
Instead, I’m setting one goal.
Yes. One.
My goal for 2026 is to build a YouTube channel
.
Now... this is where I need your help.
To build something real, I need you to understand my vision and my why.
From that place—we can move.
Here’s the current status of my YouTube channel: Since 2017, I’ve been throwing up random videos. No systems, no consistency, no invitation for the audience.
Just shooting blanks into the ether.
I made a video today. It’s called Why Youtube
Because no matter what—every Friday I’m delivering a video.
So back to my hook: I want you to be a part of it.
First thing I need? Subscribe.
(New territory for me—asking for what I need without sounding like a used car salesman.)
But I’ve realized something. I’ve been my own damn bottleneck for years. I can’t do it anymore.
I can’t expect change if my actions don’t change.
So is my YouTube channel just going to be about building a YouTube channel? (Ain’t that meta?)
Nope.
It’s an invitation into how I see life.
That’s my unique offer to the world. Not the cinematic shots or cool visuals.
The way I see the world.
So today, on this Friday, wherever you’re at, whatever you’re going through—take a second.
Not just to subscribe to my YouTube, but to look at your own life and see what project you’ve been putting off.
Whether it’s content, art, a business.
Just start.
Remember—the movie changes the second the main character takes control of their story.
See you next Friday,
-Fletch
